<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and high-quality optical transmitter-receiver. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitter-receiver is constituted by optically coupling a light emitting element, a light receiving element and an optical waveguide mainly made up of optical fibers, wherein: the light emitting element and the light receiving element are all coated with a coating part core composed of a core material having a refractive index equivalent to that of the core of the optical waveguide; the outside of the coating part core is coated with a coating part clad composed of a clad material having a refractive index equivalent to that of the clad of the optical waveguide; and the coating part core and the core of the optical waveguide are optically coupled to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
