<p>The safety cap (L), made from a supple or semi-rigid plastic or elastomer material, seals one tip (D) of a double-ended needle and has a closed end (A) that is easily perforated when slid along the needle by the pressure applied against a flask stopper or the seal on a perfusion pouch, for example. The safety cap is sealed against the lateral surface of the needle by one or more rings (E), and its perforable end (A) is recessed inside the cap to form a ring (G) that provides a reliable seal when it is inserted into a flask stopper or pouch seal.</p> |
