Device for controlling brake system of braking equipment includes measuring device (1) for measurement of deceleration of rail vehicle and force closure between wheel and rail, device (3) of assessment. Method comprises determining rail vehicle deceleration to produce measured value (Δd) deceleration determined force closure between wheel and rail to produce measured value (Δd) force closure, and at low deceleration and normal power circuit signal is generated (BF) error message. Second version comprises, based on measured value (Δd) of deceleration, generating a signal (LD) for insufficient deceleration, which is supplied to AND circuit (55). Method includes measuring braking force (f) of brake actuator, and based on measured braking force (f) generating a logic signal (LF), which is fed to AND circuit (55), and with a small deceleration and low braking force (f) generating a signal (BF) error message.EFFECT: reducing wear of wheel and rail during braking.44 cl, 4 dwg
