PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing and charging raw coal for manufacturing coke is provided to enhance the charging density by appropriately containing surfactant and enhance the productivity and strength of coke. CONSTITUTION: A method of charging raw coal for manufacturing coke comprises next steps. Surfactant is added to raw coal to manufacture coke. The raw coal from the surfactant treating process is charged in a coke oven to manufacture coke through a hot dry distillation process in the coke oven. At the surfactant treating process sprays, surfactant solution is sprayed to the raw coal to add the surfactant to the raw coal. The concentration of the surfactant solution is within 0.5~2 %. At the surfactant treating process, the surfactant is added to the raw coal 0~0.2 weight% by below 0.2weight%.
