<p>The optical element (1) comprises a dielectric elastomer (2), two transparent electrodes (3, 4) arranged on opposite sides of the dielectric elastomer, and a different reflective layer to the dielectric elastomer adjacent from the electrodes. The distance between the two electrodes is changed by applying an electrical voltage to the electrodes. The material of the electrodes comprises metals, metal alloys, conductive oligomers or polymers, conductive oxides and/or conductive fillers filled polymers. The reflective layer is arranged between the electrode and the dielectric elastomer.
