PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pigment dispersion for a color filter which is capable of forming a cured film excellent in contrast and developability, and to provide a coloring composition for a color filter which contains the pigment dispersion obtained by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a pigment dispersion comprising: (1) a step of obtaining a dispersion by dispersing a mixture which contains [1] an organic pigment, an ester-based organic solvent, a graft polymer (A) containing a constitutional unit derived from vinylpyrrolidone in the main chain and a constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylate ester in the side chain and a polyamine dispersant (B) having an acid value of 10 to 30 mgKOH/g and an amine value of 5 to 50 mgKOH/g; and (2) a step of obtaining a pigment dispersion by removing at least a part of a graft polymer (A) and a polyamine dispersant (B) which are not adsorbed on the organic pigment from the resulting dispersion, a method for producing a pigment dispersion for a color filter in which the weight ratio [(A)+(B)/organic pigment] is 0.7 to 1.3 in the step (1) and 0.2 to 0.5 in the step (2), and a coloring composition for a color filter containing a pigment dispersion obtained by the method [2]. |
