PURPOSE: A temperature maintaining and/or heating apparatus for a long metal product and a related method thereof are provided to simply and reliably manage the segments of a product cut in a specific size. CONSTITUTION: A temperature maintaining and/or heating apparatus for a long metal product comprises first and second furnaces(36,37) and a transit tunnel(38). The first furnace comprises a first leading roller way(41), a removing roller way(43), and a transverse transfer device. The first leading roller way leads bloom segments. The transverse transfer device transfers the bloom segments from the first leading roller way to the removing roller way. The second furnace comprises a second leading roller way(42), an outlet roller way(43), and a transverse transfer device. The outlet roller way transfers the bloom segments to the removing roller way. The transverse transfer device transfers the bloom segments from the second leading roller way to the outlet roller way. The transit tunnel transfers the bloom segments discharged from a first casting line(21a) to the first leading roller way of the first furnace.
