PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method for remarkably improving capability of expressing a high luminance area.SOLUTION: There is provided an image display method using an image display device 1 having a front-side LCD panel 7 overlapped on a rear-side LCD panel 9, and including: displaying an RGB image on the front-side LCD panel 7; converting gradation of an image based on the RGB image with a look-up table to create a look-up table output image with adjusted luminance; and displaying a black-and-white adjusted image based on the look-up table output image on the rear-side LCD panel 9. When the luminance value of pixels of the image based on the RGB image is equal to or larger than a first threshold, the luminance value of the pixels are set to be converted into a predetermined value, and when the luminance value of the pixels of the image based on the RGB image is equal to or larger than a second threshold that is larger than the first threshold, the pixels are determined to be in a high luminance area and set to be converted into the maximum value of the luminance value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
