PURPOSE: An inspection apparatus for the flow of the surface of melt, a control system, and a control method thereof are provided to automatically control a current value supplied to an electromagnetic stirrer through the profile of a molten slag layer. CONSTITUTION: An inspection apparatus for the flow of the surface of melt comprises a frame, a nail(115), and an aluminum member(117). One end of the nail is fixed to the frame, and the other end is extended and dipped in molten steel. An insertion groove is formed in the other end of the nail. The aluminum member is fixed to the insertion groove of the nail and is dipped in the molten steel with the nail.
