Disclosed is a microchip wherein the liquid which acts as a reagent is prevented from being lifted up as a needle is drawn out after the liquid is injected and adhering to the top of a chimney or, if there is no chimney, to the upper surface near the opening on the outlet side of a well. A microchip has a well (9) for injecting/ discharging liquid, and a chimney (10) which has a predetermined height and is interconnected with the well (9). A portion (20) which prevents the rise of liquid is formed in the chimney (10).
