A propeller 100, 300 for an aircraft comprises a propeller hub 102, 302, a spinner 104, 304 for streamlining the propeller 100, 300 and a plurality of composite propeller blades 106, 306 mounted to said propeller hub 102, 302. The propeller blades 106, 306 are arranged to rotate together in the same rotational direction in at least two parallel planes 108, 110, 308, 310 substantially perpendicular to an axis of rotation 112, 312 of the propeller 100, 300. The propeller 100, 300 has a reduced sized spinner 104, 304 with an improved aerodynamic profile that can be better matched to an engine nacelle 116, 316 and also has reduced drag. |
