PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an organic EL element capable of repairing an inter-electrode short-circuit part without laser damage to an organic layer composed of an organic material and an electrode layer of a processing object.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an organic electroluminescent element 1 includes: a preparing step of preparing an organic EL element 1A which has a short-circuit defective part and in which an anode 11, an organic layer 30 including a light-emitting layer 13, and a cathode 16 composed of a transparent material are laminated in this order; and an irradiation step of repairing a defect resulting from the short-circuit defective part by selecting only a laser beam having a top flat distribution as an intensity distribution and irradiating at least the cathode 16 region of the short-circuit defective part or the periphery of the region with the selected laser beam. |
