PURPOSE: A transfer device for unfinished materials and a control method thereof are provided to transfer piled unfinished materials to a transferring palette without tilt, and prevent collapse of the piled materials while the unfinished materials are being transferred. CONSTITUTION: A transfer device for unfinished materials and a control method thereof consist of a supplying unit(8), a reversing unit(10), an aligning unit(30) and a transferring unit. The supplying unit transfers unfinished materials after a blanking process. The reversing unit reverses direction of the unfinished materials moving along the supplying unit and has a belt conveyer that transfers the unfinished material to the reversing unit. The aligning unit piles the unfinished materials supplied from the reversing unit up to a temporary palette. The transferring unit transfers the multiple unfinished materials piling in the temporary palette to a transferring palette.
