PURPOSE: A composition containing fermented ginseng extract is provided to promote hair growth and to ensure healthy scalp. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing alopecia or promoting hair growth contains fermented ginseng extract as an active ingredient. The fermented ginseng is prepared by mixing ginseng with malt, wheat bran, and water and fungus isolated from nuruk and fermenting ginseng. The composition is liquid phase formulation or solid formulation for oral administration.
