Processor chip having separated block structure

摘要

PURPOSE: A processor chip with a separated block system is provided to simplify chip design and minimize the number of connection lines for two-way communication by structurally separating a digital block from an analog block. CONSTITUTION: A digital block(210) includes function blocks which performs an assigned function. An analog block(220) transceives data to/from an external device for the function block. The digital block and the analog block are structurally separated, which communicate through a serial interface line(230) connected to each other. The digital block and the analog block comprises a parallel-serial converter(215,225). The digital block and analog block are formed in an independent silicon die for the structural separation.
