PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing grape seed proanthocyanidin extract and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is provided to suppress intrapulmonary inflammation and emphysema. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) contains grape seed proanthocyanidin extract(GSPE) and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical composition is a formulation for oral inhalation or nasal administration. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, suppository, and sterilization injection solution.
