PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to make the average luminance of each light source array by controlling a driving current through the variation of supply time. CONSTITUTION: Light source arrays(AL1,AL2,AL3) comprise a plurality of light sources A current sensing / controller(SS) detects n driving currents at the light source array. The current sensing / controller outputs n feedback voltages. The current sensing / controller controls the size of the n driving currents. A duty ratio controller(DC) supplies n control signals to the current sensing / controller. The duty ratio controller controls the duty ratio of the n control signals. |
