PURPOSE: A thermostat is provided to accurately operate a valve by preventing the loss of pressure due to wax expansion pressure by precisely controlling a valve. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat comprises a thermostat housing(110), a heater(120), a wax chamber(130), a diaphragm(140), an element(152), an element guide(150), an elevating member(160), a valve(170), and an elastic member(180). The flow path in which the cooling water flows is formed in the thermostat housing. The diaphragm is transformed by the wax swelling in the wax chamber. The element moves using the stress of the diaphragm. The elevating member ascends and descends by the pressure of the element in the flow path of the thermostat housing. The elastic member flexibly supports the inside of the thermostat housing valve. |
