<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag capable of remarkably improving vehicle ejection preventive performance, particularly in an end part in the vehicle longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: This curtain airbag (an airbag 100) stored above a side surface part in a vehicle interior and inflating and deploying along the side surface part, includes an end part chamber (a front chamber 120b) arranged in the end part in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the curtain airbag and inflating by receiving inflating-deploying gas, and a strap (a front strap 130) for joining an area more toward the center than an end of the end part chamber on the vehicle outside of the curtain airbag and a pillar (a front pillar 106) projecting into the vehicle interior more than a side window 114a in a position farther away from the end part direction than the end of the end part chamber, and is characterized in that the strap has the length that becomes a substantially straight line shape by the curtain airbag after inflating and deploying. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
