<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively-inexpensively provide a system for warning a driver in order to prevent a rear-end collision with only output information of a contactless millimeter wave sensor that can detect only speed. <P>SOLUTION: The system is configured to be able to measure a relative speed with respect to a target in the same direction by a plurality of millimeter wave sensors, has different detection ranges for the millimeter wave sensors, and previously sets speed thresholds for determination in a descending order from the millimeter wave sensor having the longest detection range. The system determines whether the speeds measured by the millimeter wave sensors are equal to or greater than the respectively set thresholds, and determines a possibility of rear-end collision when they are equal to or greater than the thresholds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
