摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and the like which concurrently reads images on both sides of a manuscript as well as automatically distinguishes a long manuscript, and alternatively stores image data of a double-side manuscript and image data of a long single-side manuscript in a memory with decreasing required memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 1 comprises a scanner part 2a and a scanner part 2b for respectively reading a front face and a rear face of a manuscript approximately at the same time, a memory 4 provided with a front face memory region for storing one page of front face image data of a manuscript having a predetermined size and a rear face memory region for storing one page of rear face image data of the manuscript, and a memory control part 3 for sequentially writing the image data of the front face and the image data of the rear face into the front face memory region and the rear face memory region, respectively. When an amount of the front face image data to be written reaches a maximum data amount of the front face memory region, the memory control part 3 stops writing of the rear face image data of the manuscript into the memory 4 as well as continuously writes the front face image data into a combined memory region created by combining the front face memory region and the rear face memory region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
