<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform press working in the downstream process having directionality in a circumferential direction about the axial line to a workpiece after finish forging in a horizontal forging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The workpiece 1 which is conveyed to a transfer device is succeeded by the horizontal displacement of holding shafts for holding the workpiece in a horizontal direction, and the position and direction of the axial line L to the die are properly kept by guiding and holding of the circumferential outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 2 of the workpiece 1 by a center guide 25 while the workpiece 1 is fed into a die in the downstream process by these holding shafts. After becoming this state, when the direction of the workpiece 1 is not normal, by forcedly rotating the workpiece 1 to the normal direction by contact of portions 7, 7 to be held on both sides of the workpiece 1 with a pair of phase guiding parts 27a and arranging the parts 7, 7 to be held on both sides between detent parts 27b which are continuous in a horizontal direction from each phase guiding part 27a, and the downstream process is performed in the state where the workpiece 1 is kept in the normal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
