<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for folding a paper sheet the productivity of which can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for folding the paper sheet includes: a blade member by the tip of which the surface of the paper sheet is pressed to push the pressed paper sheet into a paper sheet folding part by which the paper sheet is folded; and a pair of clamping members which are arranged in the paper sheet folding part and used for clamping the paper sheet pushed into the paper sheet folding part by the blade member. The paper sheet is clamped and folded by the pair of clamping members. The apparatus for folding the paper sheet further includes a control means for controlling the pair of clamping members so that the paper sheet can be clamped between the pair of clamping members while changing a clamping position according to a direction that the paper sheet is pushed by the blade member, namely, so that the clamping position may be moved to the same direction as the direction that the paper sheet is pushed by the blade member or the clamping position may be moved to a direction opposite to the direction that the paper sheet is pushed by the blade member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
