<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen processing system having a specimen collection unit provided with a storage tray for storing a plurality of specimens capable of reading information of the storage tray with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The specimen processing system includes a specimen feed unit, a specimen processing unit, a specimen collection unit, a specimen conveyance line 10 and a control unit. The specimen collection unit has storage tray installation places 3 for arranging storage trays 1a to 1d for storing a plurality of specimens, detection means for detecting at least one of whether the storage trays 1a to 1d are arranged in the plurality of the storage tray installation places 3 and are taken out therefrom, and a plurality of RFID readers/writers 4 which are arranged in each of the plurality of the storage tray installation places 3 and read each identification information provided in the storage trays 1a to 1d.
