PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of facilitating the capturing of iron powders in oil by a magnet, and preventing the iron powders captured by the magnet from being discharged into the oil.SOLUTION: In a power transmission device 3, a partition wall 24 is formed, which has an arc-shaped notch portion 24A surrounding an outer peripheral portion of a differential case 11 in the inside of a differential cover 7, and extends from a bottom portion 7C of the differential cover 7 toward an upper wall 7B along an end surface of a ring gear 12 to partition the inside of a housing into a first space 25 in which the ring gear 12 is installed and a second space 26 adjacent to the first space 25. In addition to that, on the bottom portion 7C of the differential cover 7 on the second space 26 side, a first oil collection chamber 31 is arranged which is partitioned from the second space 26 by a first ceiling wall 7E extending in a direction orthogonal to an extending direction of the partition wall 24. The first oil collection chamber 31 has a magnet 32 at an end portion positioned on the opposite side to a joint surface 7A of the differential cover 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
