<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator for a bicycle capable of suppressing the lowering of a power-generation output by preventing a leak of magnetic flux. <P>SOLUTION: In a dynamo case 1 in which a roller 15 is projected from a top end, a magnet 12 which rotates together with a roller, an iron core 42, and a coil 20 with one end connected to the iron core and the other end connected to an output terminal 38 are provided in the generator for the bicycle. In the generator for the bicycle, a dynamo holder 39 for connecting and separating the roller to/from a tire of the bicycle by supporting a dynamo case so as to be freely raised up and down, is connected to the dynamo case 1 by a connection plate 27, the connection plate and the iron core are electrically connected, and the one-end side of the coil is electrically grounded to the vehicle body.
