<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric precipitator with a simple structural high-voltage generator applying a high voltage to the respective electrodes of an electrified part and a dust collecting part, which can control re-scattering effectively maintaining a high dust collecting performance. <P>SOLUTION: A high-voltage generation means 60 generating a high voltage of positive/negative asymmetry with a higher rate of one side of negative or positive is used as a means to apply a high voltage to electrodes 31, 32 and 33 of the dust collecting part 50 of the electric precipitator. An asymmetrical rectangular wave voltage which is different in an output voltage value and in an output time between a positive polarity and a negative polarity, or a high voltage of a negative polarity or a positive polarity the output voltage of which falls to 0 V in an instant periodically and which resets the output voltage again is used as a high voltage of positive/negative asymmetry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
