<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment that can make an user recognize a state of selection operation by giving a touch feeling at the time of selection among information options and can reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 (electronic equipment) includes a liquid crystal display unit 20 that is capable of displaying in either one of a bright display mode and a dark display mode in which display contents can be visually recognized and are displayed darker than that in the bright display mode, a rotary member 31 that is capable of performing predetermined input operation, an ultrasonic motor 33 that is driven so as to be capable of giving a touch feeling to a user through the rotary member 31 at the time of the input operation of the rotary member 31, and a control unit 41 that makes the liquid crystal display unit 20 display icons 21. The icons 21 can be selected based on the input operation of the rotary member 31.
