<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a xenon lamp power supply device for digital cinema projector in which a transition can be made well to stable lighting without failing in lighting start. <P>SOLUTION: A xenon lamp power supply device is used for lighting a xenon lamp 5 having a rated power value of 1.2-8.0 KW and a pressure of 7-20 atm. at room temperature. The xenon lamp power supply device comprises a main circuit 1 which supplies main energy obtained by rectifying and smoothing a high frequency voltage of 10 kHz or above to the xenon lamp 5, a control unit 2 which performs feedback control of the main circuit 1 by detecting the main energy, a starter 4 which causes dielectric breakdown of the xenon lamp 5 when lighting is started, and a start control unit 3 which controls the time required for the lamp current to reach 70% of a rated lighting current value to be longer than 0.5 ms when lighting is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
