<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for controlling air conditioning, which can further reduce power consumption in a data center. <P>SOLUTION: In a system for controlling air conditioning, an optical fiber 21 is laid on an intake surface side of a rack 11 in which a plurality of computers are stored, and a temperature distribution on the intake surface side of the rack 11 is measured by a temperature distribution measuring part 2. A VM management server 27 preferentially arranges a virtual machine in a computer disposed on a lower side in the rack 11 to allocate a job, and turns off a power supply of a computer arranged on an upper side of the rack 11. A main control part 23 detects a position where a temperature is allowable, based on the temperature distribution on the intake surface side of the rack 11, and controls an air conditioner 14 and an opening rate of a grill so that a computer arranged at a highest position among computers in which the virtual machine is arranged is at a position downward from the detected position by a predetermined distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
