ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that has a reduced effect on steering by a dynamic friction torque to a steering mechanism.

SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes: a steering torque detector 11 to detect a steering torque T by a driver; a motor 14 which makes auxiliary force interact on the steering mechanism 15 to which the steering torque T is applied; an assist signal indicator 12 which forms an assist signal Ass over the motor 14 based on a detection value of the steering torque T; a dither signal indicator 1 which forms a dither signal Dith of high frequency based on the detection value of the steering torque T; and a control circuit 13 which controls power supply to the motor 14 based on the assist signal Ass and dither signal Dith. The torque amplitude Tdith of the dither signal Dith formed from the dither signal indicator 1 is set up to become larger than friction torque loss of the steering mechanism 15.
