<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having a second core longer than a transferred material of the maximum length in an orthogonal direction, and capable of suppressing the excessive temperature rise of a heating rotor in an outside area in the orthogonal direction of a maximum area. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device comprises: the maximum area 901a formed on an outer surface of a heating rotor 9a and on which a transferred material T having the maximum length in an orthogonal direction D2 is placed; an induction coil 71 disposed along the outer surface of the heating rotor 9a; and a magnetic core portions 72 having one or more first cores 74 which faces the outer surface of the heating rotor 9a, a second core 73 disposed near an inner peripheral edge of the induction coil 71 and having a projecting portion 734 projecting from a position 731e corresponding to an outer edge 901e of the maximum area 901a to the outside in the orthogonal direction D2, and a first magnetic flux shielding member 77 disposed so as to extend from the position 731e corresponding to the outer edge 901e of the projecting portion 734 and cover the whole or a part of the outer surface of the projecting portion 734. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
