<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter that is low in cost by eliminating a case for ultrasonic transducers and reducing the number of mounting parts to a measurement channel without impairing reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flowmeter comprises: a measurement channel 7 through which a fluid to be measured flows; and a pair of ultrasonic transducers 1, 9 that are disposed in the upstream and downstream of the measurement channel 7 and that are capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasonic signals. The measurement channel 7 is composed of a resin. The ultrasonic transducers 1, 9 is composed of a piezoelectric element 4, a terminal 12 for applying a voltage to the piezoelectric element 4, and an acoustic matching layer 5 bonded to a surface of a transmission side of the terminal 12. The ultrasonic transducers 1, 9 are fixed on an ultrasonic transducer mounting part 8 provided on the measurement channel 7 with a coating material 13 having elasticity, which eliminates the need for a metal or resin case that has been used for improving reliability of the ultrasonic transducers. Further, the number of vibration suppression components for mounting the ultrasonic transducers can also be reduced, and thereby the cost of materials of the ultrasonic flowmeter can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
