<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, an image display unit, and an image processing method in which coloration of a dark area of a display image, which occurs depending on the illumination environment, can be corrected automatically and appropriately while taking account of contrast. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor and image processing method perform processing of image signals input to a display unit where an image according to the image signals is displayed on a display surface (e.g. a screen). The image signals are corrected so that when the image signals indicate a black image, the color (black B1) of an image displayed on the screen under use environment of the display unit becomes correction black B2 (or a color treated alike the correction black B2) where the color difference from the color (full black B0) on the screen in full non-light state is minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
