<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can appropriately perform removal of filming, cooling of a belt, and removal of electricity, without increasing the size of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A color printer 1 of the present invention includes an intermediate transfer belt 11 that has an elastic layer, is in the form of an endless belt, and is rotationally moved. The printer 1 includes a first cleaning section (a positive polarity brush cleaner 52 and a negative brush cleaner 53) that is disposed in an area downstream of a secondary transfer section but upstream of a toner image forming section in the moving direction of the intermediate transfer belt 11 and brings an electrified brush roller into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 11, and a second cleaning section (a liquid cleaner 54) that is disposed downstream of the first cleaning section but upstream of the toner image forming section in the moving direction of the intermediate transfer belt 11 and brings a porous layer 71b impregnated with a liquid into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
