PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna and a semiconductor device having the antenna, in which the distance between electrodes of a capacitor is reduced as much as possible, the area of the electrode of the capacitor is reduced as much as possible, and the suppression in response sensitivity and response range of the semiconductor device is prevented.

SOLUTION: An antenna comprises an antenna coil provided for a first region of a base material, and a capacitor using a second region of the base material as a dielectric and including electrodes provided for both surfaces of the second region of the base material. The thickness of the second region of the base material is smaller than the thickness of the first region of the base material. A semiconductor device comprises the antenna.
