<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably generate writing discharge, even in a further high-definition plasma display panel having a larger screen. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display device includes a plasma display panel and a sustain pulse generating circuit, wherein one field period includes a plurality of sub fields having an initializing period, a writing period and a sustain period, and at least one adjustment sub field having an initializing period and an adjustment pulse period. A drive circuit generates a first ramped waveform voltage which gently rises in the initializing period of at least one sub field in one field period, and generates a second ramped waveform voltage, having a gradient steeper than that in the first ramped waveform voltage and falling after the rising waveform voltage reaches a predetermined potential, in the end of the sustain period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
