<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder with which noise which can affect an encoder internal signal can be detected without adding any noise detection circuit in the encoder, while achieving downsizing and low costs. <P>SOLUTION: An encoder 10 includes a detection part 14 constructed to detect the movement of an electric motor or a driven body 12, a signal processing circuit 16 which obtains position data of the electric motor or the driven body 12 by performing signal processing of the detection signal from the detecting part 14, and a transmitting part 18 for transmitting the position data at the certain time interval from the signal processing circuit 16 and the variable component derived therefrom to an outer equipment such as an outer controller 20 or the like. The signal processing circuit 16 includes a variable component detection circuit 22 for detecting the variable components included in the position data determined. The variable components detected by the variable component detection circuit 22 is output to the transmitting part 18 and then transmitted to the outer controller 20 as a noise amount from the transmitting part 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
