<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device using a capacitor whose dielectric tangent has temperature dependency, capable of reducing loss in the capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion device includes: a smoothing capacitor (3) that smooths a DC voltage and a converter (4) (inverter circuit) that converts electric power by switching a DC voltage smoothed by the smoothing capacitor (3) as well as a measurement part (3b) (such as a temperature sensor) that measures the quantity indicating a temperature of a dielectric substance (3a) of the smoothing capacitor (3). A controller (5) controls switching of the inverter circuit (4), synchronizing with a carrier signal and controls a carrier frequency (ω) according to a measured value by the measurement part (3b) so that a dielectric tangent of the smoothing capacitor (3) decreases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
