1. A process for sensing at least one parameter in water, which process comprises:
providing in the water apparatus comprising a dissolved oxygen sensor which is for sensing dissolved oxygen in the water and which has a working electrode and a reference electrode; and (ii) applying a voltage signal between the working electrode and the reference electrode, and such that the voltage signal provides a conditioning waveform, then a wait time that returns a perturbed local oxygen concentration at the working electrode to a bulk oxygen concentration value, and then a measurement function that is sufficiently short that the extent of a depleted oxygen zone at the working electrode is minimised, and hence sensitivity to flow is minimised. |
