ON-VEHICLE MONITOR CAMERA AND IMAGING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle monitor camera capable of imaging a light-emitting body like impulse with undefined period, while a proper exposure adjustment function is secured and space resolution is not reduced.

SOLUTION: An on-vehicle monitor camera is equipped with: an imaging unit for imaging by a variable frame rate which varies according to an exposure; a frame rate conversion unit which converts imaging data of the variable frame rate output from the imaging unit to imaging data of a predetermined fixed frame rate; and a frame rate setting unit which obtains an exposure from the imaging data of the variable frame rate output from the imaging unit and sets the variable frame rate so that the obtained exposure becomes a predetermined exposure value.
