<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a characteristic frequency of a reactor. <P>SOLUTION: A reactor 10 includes an inner core 16, and a core 14 which is placed around the inner core 16 and made of a magnetic powder mixed resin. A coil 12 is embedded in the core 14. The inner core 16 has a pillar shape. A silicon coating part 30, which is coated by silicon for preventing the resin of the core 14 from adhering to the inner core 16, is provided at a part of a side surface of the inner core 16.
