METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING SERVER INFORMATION DATA

A method and system for managing server information data are disclosed. The method includes: an information data management system obtains the location information of each server mainboard from the controller storing the location information of server mainboards, and establishes a correspondence between the location information and the detected information data number of a rack mount server; an information data configuration system obtains the location information, the information data number and the correspondence between the two from the information data management system. The method and the system can obtain the location information of servers automatically, and avoid the inconvenience due to manual operation.
