The dishwasher (1) has a rinsing container (2) supplied with water in operation and comprising a single- or multi-piece cover unit (8) connected with a single- or multi-piece base unit (7) in an assembled condition. The cover- and base units are sealed against each other, and a seal is integrally formed at the base unit and extends between the cover- and base units in the assembled condition. The seal expands from the base unit towards the cover unit, and completely surrounds the base unit outside of a front-sided region that is lowered for a door opening.
