摘要 PURPOSE: A cleaning robot and a control method thereof are provided to faciliate cleaning by enabling a change of direction and movement wihtout the movement of an outer body case. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning robot comprises a body case(10), a pair of first suction units(20), a pair of main vacuuming units(30), a pair of second suction units(40), a pair of moving units, a pair of direction change plates, a pair of direction change vacuuming units, and a direction change driving unit. The body case has one or more brush-cleaners. A pair of first suction units has an adsorption pad(21) adsorped to the exterior wall of a building and the side of the window. A pair of first suction units is mutually detached and formed in the body case. A pair of main vacuuming units provdies the vacuum pressure to the adsorption pad. A pair of second suction units has a plurality of direction change adsorption pads(41) arranged along the outer surface of the adsorption pad. A pair of second suction units is combined in a pair of first suction units, respectively. A pair of moving units rotates a pair of second suction units, respectively. A pair of direction change plates faces to a pair of second suction units. A pair of direction change vacuuming units provides vacuum pressure to partial direction change adsorption pads among a plurality of direction change adsorption pads. The direction change driving unit rotates a pair of direction change plates.
