<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of image quality due to the deterioration of toner and to prevent faulty cleaning by eliminating the increase of a cleaning load when the toner is discarded. <P>SOLUTION: A toner recovery member 346 for recovering the toner is provided on the downstream of a developer carrier 343 and a potential difference between the developer carrier 343 and the toner recovery member 346 or a time for making the potential difference a potential difference by which the toner is recovered is controlled. Thus, the deteriorated toner in a developing device 34 is recovered by the toner recovery member 346 and the toner in the developing device 34 is maintained so as to have sufficient development performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
