<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater device having good maintainability and a structure facilitating an inspection work for everyone, without removing a whole cover, even if an equipment user's maintenance is required, such as the cleaning of a strainer of a water supply unit and the draining of water in a hot water storage tank associated with outage for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the device, a substantially rectangular hot water storage unit encloses a hot water storage tank for storing hot water, and includes connections of piping for connecting external piping with internal piping at the front side of the hot water storage unit, wherein the piping connections have a kick-in structure. Also, the hot water storage unit has a structure enabling attachment of a cover for covering at least a whole or part of the kick-in structure, and the cover of the piping connections includes an opening that enables inspection and operation of the piping connections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
