<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely determine whether a valve body serving as a body to be driven is normally shifted from a non-restricted state to a restricted state in an electric driving device 1. <P>SOLUTION: According to the driving device 1, control means 12 stores a threshold value Ithr regarding an energization amount for determining whether or not a rotational position normally reaches a totally closed position, when controlling the energization to an electric motor 2 so that the rotational position of the valve body is changed from a totally open position toward the totally closed position to reach the totally closed position. When the energization amount increases beyond the threshold value Ithr by a rush current, decreases subsequently to fall below the threshold value Ithr, and increases again to exceed the threshold value Ithr after starting the energization to the electric motor 2, the control means determines that the rotational position normally reached the totally closed position.
