<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system capable of effectively utilizing a backup power storage device for leveling an electric power load in a transmission system and for supplying power to a DC load of an electric automobile and so on, while maintaining high reliability of the backup when a power outage occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage system comprises a smart meter E to perform a selection control for connecting a second power storage device 17 to either a circuit A for power leveling connected with a second power conversion system 18 or a power supply circuit B connected with an electric automobile 50, based on a residual capacity of the second power storage device 17, power demand information of a transmission system M, and power supply requirement information of the electric automobile 50 when a first switch SW1 is in an off state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
