<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector with a switch detecting an incompletely inserted card, which reduces the number of components, thereby reducing the cost, a space required for a switch mechanism, and the size of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A card connector with a switch detecting an incompletely inserted card comprises: a shutter, which is pushed down by a card inserted into a card insertion part, at a card insertion aperture of a housing mounted with a bottom surface of the housing mounted facing a substrate; and a detection switch, which is activated by the push down movement of the shutter; a window hole on a bottom surface of the card insertion part located near the shutter; and a contacting piece, forming the detection switch, in the shutter. When the shutter is pushed down by the inserted card, the contacting piece establishes electrical continuity with a switch pattern of the substrate through the window hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
